Since the start of the quarantine period, it's been hard to even live life. Whether you're seeing instances of racism on the news or even experiencing it for yourself first-hand, it begs the question: why can't people simply let us be people? 

people just trying to be people. 

This year is important because we need to know our identity as human beings. We are not alone; we are right where we belong. This month is about standing strong, holding firm onto our culture, and not letting ignorant and hateful people deteriorate us from simply being people.

So let's continue to celebrate who we are, from where we've grown up, and what our backgrounds are. We'll let nobody take that away from us.
